Best Types of Canadian Visa for African Immigrates
Canada remains one of the most popular countries to immigrate to from Africa and that’s because of the immense opportunities available in Canada as well as the wide range of Canadian visa options available to potential immigrants from Africa. In this article, we will look at some of the main benefits of immigrating to Canada as well as some of the best types of Canadian visas for African immigrants.
Canada Work Permit
The most common type of Canadian visa is a work permit. A work permit allows you to legally live and work in Canada while you wait to become a permanent resident. The government issues these permits through its Express Entry system, which applies mainly to skilled workers coming from outside Canada. However, if you have certain types of education, experience, or language abilities then Express Entry can also help you immigrate through one of Canada’s Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs). If so, then your application will be sent directly to a province that needs workers in your profession and skill set (they usually want advanced degrees). In some cases, they may even sponsor you on their own. As long as you qualify for a PNP—and depending on which program you’re accepted into—you could get your work permit before leaving home. This means no risky move across an international border! Of course, not everyone qualifies for PNP programs; but there are other ways to get your foot in Canada’s door. For example, many foreign students are eligible to apply for Post-Graduation Work Permits after they finish their studies at Canadian colleges and universities. These let them stay and work up to three years after graduation (depending on their field of study) without having to worry about being kicked out once their student visas expire. And don’t forget about NAFTA!
Requirements for Canada PNP programs
The prerequisites and requirements for applying to a specific program vary by country, but there are some commonalities: The applicant must be a citizen or resident of a certain country (or region) at the time of application. Applicants must prove they have enough money to support themselves during their stay in Canada. They also need adequate documentation and proof that they will leave Canada after their visa expires. Finally, applicants must meet all medical and security requirements set forth by IRCC in order to obtain their visa.
Canada Visitor’s Visa
Visitor’s visas, otherwise known as temporary resident visas, allow a visitor to travel to Canada and stay in Canada for up to six months at a time. If you are visiting Canada as a tourist, then you will most likely need a visitor’s visa. The visitor’s visa is generally easier to get than work permits and will have fewer restrictions than getting a study permit or permanent residence. The government does not require any specific qualifications or experience before being granted entry onto your visitor’s visa but there is one important rule that all applicants must follow: You must be able to prove that you can support yourself during your trip.
Requirements for Visitor’s Visa
To come to Canada, you will need a visitor visa. To get one, you must show that: You have enough money to support yourself and any family members coming with you. You have ties – such as a job or home – that will bring you back to your home country. If there is any chance that you could be forced to stay in Canada permanently, then don’t apply for a visitor visa.
The Permanent Residence Permit
A permanent resident is someone who has been granted permanent resident status in Canada after immigrating, but who is not a Canadian citizen. Citizens of other countries are permanent residents. A temporary visitor to Canada, such as a student or a foreign worker, is not a permanent resident.
The PR Card is usually provided for a period of five years and is renewable. Within those five years, you must stay in Canada for 730 days to maintain your permanent residence status.
Requirements for Permanent Residence Permit
Anyone can apply for permanent residency in Canada, but only those who are qualified will be accepted. To discover if you are eligible for permanent residency you will be reviewed by your: age, level of education, official language proficiency, second official language, Canadian work experience. Canada Study Permit
The study permit is a document that allows international students to study in Canada at designated learning institutions (DLIs). To study in Canada, the majority of foreign nationals require a study permit. Before you apply, double-check that you have all of the required documents. Before you travel to Canada, you should fill out an application.
A study permit is not the same as a visa. It doesn’t let you enter Canada. You may also need a visitor visa or an electronic travel authorization (eTA). If your study permit application is approved, you will receive one along with your study permit.

Requirements for Canada Study Permit
Proof of acceptance
A letter of approval from your school is required. Include an original or electronic copy of your letter with your application for a study permit.
Conditional acceptance and prerequisite courses
If you’ve been conditionally accepted, you’ll have to take some required classes. These classes could include English as a second language or French as a second language, for example. Before you may begin your major study program, you must finish these.
If this is the case, your study visa will only be valid for the duration of those courses plus one year. You’ll need to apply for a new student permit to extend your stay as a student once you’ve been accepted into your major program.
Exceptions
If you’re the family member of someone who has a study permit or work permit application that’s been approved in writing before you come to Canada, you don’t need a letter of acceptance.
Proof of identity
When applying for your study permit, you and each family member who comes with you to Canada must have a valid passport or travel document
